Activities

 

 

During my semester in the Juan Ponce De Leon bilingual School, I participated in different activities. One of the activities was the spelling bee competition during the English week. In this activity I was a judge and I provided definitions if needed by the students. It was an incredible experience.

 

 

 

 

I decided to give a students a day in which they can be oriented in creative writing as a part of their poetry unit. I invited the professor Dr. Anibal Munoz to give this orientation. Students were very motivated to participate in this activity and to set free the young writers inside of them.

 

 

This was my last day of class with the students but the students thought it was not enough to say goodbye.

 

 

So they organized a surprise goodbye pizza party in order to have a last day with me. We shared experiences, we laugh and I took the opportunity to tell them how important they are in my life and how grateful I am to have had them as my students. I could not hold my tears because I could not control the happiness inside of me. I have had finally become the teacher I wanted to become... A teacher that will leave a piece of her heart to all of her students and that will love being in this profession for a life time.
